QA Automation Architect

The QA Automation Architect will design and implement a brand new automation framework for Enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have successfully designed and implemented automation frameworks for large scale enterprise applications. Excellent knowledge of Unix, VB Script, QTP and Oracle are required.

Responsibilities:

·         Define the functional/performance automation strategy and abstract model for automation of IT applications

·         Define the automation standards and framework

·         Collect metrics for effort savings from manual testing

·         Evaluation of different automation tools and recommend a common solution across IT

·         Design and implement the automation framework for enterprise IT applications

·         work closely with developers and project engineers to specify detailed automation requirements

·         Develop automated smoke, functional and regression test suites for UI front-end and DB back-end

·         Perform functional, regression and integration testing as required

Required Education, Experience, Skills:

·         B.E / M.C.A  in computer science / computer engineering or related engineering fields.

·         5+ years of experience in automation framework design and development

·         10+ years of experience in QA/testing for large scale applications

·         Experience in designing and implementing automation framework (front end and backend) for large scale applications

·         Excellent knowledge of Server Technologies, ERP/CRM and Relational Databases

·         Software development experience in C, C++, Java and Web 2.0

·         Test automation skills using Selenium, HttpUnit, Watir, Eggplant etc is preferred

·         Highly skilled in setup and configuration of Servers on windows / Mac - Open Source Tools, Databases, Web Servers and JMS servers

·         Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills of automation scripts

·         Ability to work independently with little direction

·         Excellent communication skills
