1. Role Definition:

Developing and maintaining Linux software for Veebeam’s novel new  PC to TV solution using Staccato Communications wireless technology..
The role will include:

• Development of UWB/WUSB feature enhancements into the Linux
• Generation of patch release and full release packages
• Optimization of system performance
• Integrating the kernel with the applications, firmware and hardware
• Supporting system testing and customers for the bugs reported

·         Maintaining good working relationships with system testing

2. Executive Profile:

Essential:

• Overall experience of 2-4 years, of which at least 1+ years experience in development on the Linux Operating System is required. 
• Expert-level programming skills in C
• Thorough understanding of Linux Kernel Architecture
• Familiar with building Linux kernel modules for different Linux kernel versions and environments both ARM and PC based.
• Understanding of (cross) compiling multiple Linux kernels for embedded ARM and PC environments. 
• Hands-On individual
• Familiarity with software development life cycle

Desirable:

• Proficient in use of GNU tools such as gdb, gnu make, Linux scripting including python, perl, and bash, Makefiles and scripted automated build environments etc
• Familiar working in Linux and cygwin (windows) environments using cross compilation tools performing remote compilation jobs on Linux machines from cygwin. 
• Good knowledge following will be desirable: USB, process management, virtual memory, I/O subsystem, performance analysis, resource management, run-time libraries.
• Working with multi-site development teams
• Experience in developing release packages and distribution

Developing and maintaining Windows software for Veebeam’s novel new PC to TV solution using Staccato Communications wireless technology. This position requires an ability to develop and debug in complex multi-threaded environments with undocumented features like Windows.
The role will include:

• Development of feature enhancements into the Windows software
• Optimization of system performance
• Integrating the software with the applications, drivers, firmware and hardware
• Supporting system testing and customers for the bugs reported

·         Maintaining good working relationships with system testing

2. Executive Profile:

Essential:

• 2-4 years experience in driver development on the Windows family of Operating Systems is required. 
• Expert-level programming skills in C
• MCSE certified

• Experience in developing Windows software using the Visual studio is a must. 

• Hands-On individual
• Familiarity with software development life cycle

Desirable:

• Familiarity with DLNA and multimedia frameworks will be a significant plus.
• An understanding of PC Architecture is desirable.
• Experience in programming in SMP environment or multi-threaded environment

• Knowledge and experience with USB, Wireless protocols and associated test tools.

• Good understanding of WHQL tests and DTM setup
• Proficient in use of debugging tools such as Windbg, Softice etc.

• Proficiency in C++ programming and OOP.
• Working with multi-site development teams
